As soon as start of autumn semester there was the Yosakoi festival again. It was one held in Ikebkuro, Tokyo. I participated in the festival, of course. Then, the incident happened to me. It was while we were waiting our turn in outside. Something hit on my shoulder. Something white, something from the sky. Can you guess what it was? It was droppings by dove. Ohhhhhhhh!!!! I didn’t notice about that at first. Then, someone shouted at me, “Is it droppings by dove!!??” in a loud voice, oh no. I can’t understand why she shout, not whisper. Is it better to tell your friend in small voice when you find something she or he might be ashamed at?? I don’t remember who the girl shouting at me was, though. Because of her shout, almost all of members looked at me and I was known about being hit by dove’s dropping. Some of my senior member mad fun for having called me as “hun.” But because they were the member I hadn’t talked so much, the bad event makes me chances to make communications with them! It was so lucky! Besides, they called me “hun” just as a joke and they cherish me actually.
Actually, my parents also participated in the festival. They own original team in Yamanashi. The name of the team is “Kai-Hu-Rin-Ka-Zan. ” Is it funny that parents and child join the same competition as the different team? What is more, the my parent’s team is so famous and got first prize twice in the festival. Therefore some of my team mates knew about my parents’ team. I was glad about that. And I was told by many of members ‘So, you are thoroughbred of Yosakoi!’ because my parents fond and preside a famous Yosakoi team. I felt a bit pressure about that at that time.
After the festival, we prepared forward school festival. I was a Sophia university student, but I prepared hard for Waseda university. My mother laughed to hear this. Surely, it is a bit funny. In addition the schedule of the two festival clashed, I couldn’t even go to watch my university in school festival.
However, school festival was so splendid. And I surprised at the big scale of Waseda university. It seems that professionals made the festival, really.
While the practice forward school festival we first grade members were taught the 07 dance. 07 dance is performance which Odori-zamurai danced last year all festivals. In Yosakoi festivals, it is a rule the performance is changed once a year. They always make new songs, dance and costume for the year. And the team go to many festivals with the performance in a year. That is, the performance we dance this year is 08 and we didn’t know other dance of Odori-zamurai.
In school festival, it is tradition that we dance also the last year’s performance. It was not easy thing to learn new dance in short term. Especially, because I was just after finished to learn 08 dance, I had anxiety about 07 dance learning. Indeed it was hard for me, but 07 dance is so fun. I think I like 07 the best in Yosakoi dance. It is very cheerful and vigorous and cute performance. I want to dance 07 more and more!!
In the School festival of Waseda university were there lots of booth by students. I love booths so much. I got to Warabi-mochi especially.
After the school festival, we had drinking party which held through night. That was so enjoyable to talk with someone I hadn’t talked with. There were many people who went to sleep in the middle, but I didn’t sleep even a moment. I was talking and laughing all night and to morning! It was so excited.
I went to my senior member’s house which is near that place we made party because the time we finish the party was too early for station to start working. But, there were happing when we got to her house. She didn’t have her key! We were at loss no to enter the house at so early winter morning, it was so cold and we didn’t have any sleep! Eventually, we decided to call emergency center of her residence, and make the professional of key and he force to open the key with his special tools. I was tired very much but it was good experience that I could watch such a special scene!
