I am going to have TOEFL test next week!
And this is my first challenge to TOEFL! So, I didn't know anything about that.
I knew that there is s writing test. But, I got the information that we have the test by "computer" a little while ago! Oh, I didn't know such a thing at all...
That means that in wrting test, I must type !! Actually, that is why I am writing this now. My typing speed is very slow!! I feel anxiety. But, all I can do is practicing hard.
Yesterday, I went to TSUTAYA and borowed DVD, The Phantom of the OPERA. The movie is a bit like musical. And I got to be fond of the scene of Masquarade the best!!
Mmmmmm, I don't know what subject I should choose as practice.
Actually, I have what to do for examination in university. I should do it at first! HAHAHA!
OH, but, this writing is too short!!!

What do you think you still need to work on?
What do you think you can do well now?
What will you work on the hardest in your final essay?
About four months have passed since I enter this university.
I am going to think about my writing in this class!
I think my academic writing has changed! At first I had used in essay "I think" many times. And I also had used "may" or "perhaps" many times. I know I should have confidence in what I say inmy essay to convince readers. And I had used "then" repeatedly as transition word. But now I know I should not use same words repeatedly.
What I think I still need to work on is making natural transition. I said that I had known it is not good to repeat same word. But I couldn't make natural transition yet, I think.And I sometimes made writing mistakes, so I should practice more sometime with dictionary.
What I think I can do well is avoiding repeated same words. Though it is not perfect yet, I think it became better. And thanks for this blog writing, I got used to write long sentence in English now.
In my final essay, I will do with poem, lovely one. The essays I wrote in my class are all about metaphar or simbol. So I think I will challenge another thing. Rythm and audience and so on. Because that poem is my favorite one, I will memorize it. Especially, I want to quote efectivery and make smooth transition.
I will try harder to make my writing much better.

My Dog
Yesterday, terrible thing happened to my dog, Layla. She have lived with my family for 7 years. And her place in house is surrounded by wooden fence. So, ordinally she can't go out of that place by herself. But, resently it seems that she got to know haw to open it! She is clever.
Yesterday, when I talked with my friend on the phone, I heard the sound of Layla's nail outside. Everytime she walk on the floor she makes such a sound. So, I told my friend that my dog seems to escape out of her house and that I should cut off the phoine and said good-bye. After I hung uo the phone, I go out of my room calling Layla. She was looking at me from the 2 floor. (my room is on 1 floor.) I said "Why are you here? Layla." Then she looks like having something inside her mouth, and looks sad vaguely. "What are you hold in your mo-uth?" I thought that she found something interesting to her during inside room because she always wanted to hold what she get to like. I tried to make her mouth open and pick up what is inside her mouth. But, there is nothing inside her mouth. Nothing. BUT her face makes me think she must hold something because her face is quite different from her ordinary face. Then I found her mouth became stiff and bigger than usual. Her face was swelled! And the reason why I thought her face lookes vaguely sad is her face is swelled. (especially parts around her nouse and above her eyes) Her eyes became covered by tears. I was very, very surprised! I thought she must be any desease. So I took her to living room and showeder face to my parents. They said that this may be work of bee. Then we went to see her house, there are two bees.(they were no longer alive, Layla
must fight against them. She is courageous...)
Because we worried about Layla, we keep ker in living room. Though her face was pitiful, she seems very happy to be surrounded family and play inside room.
Nextday, her face became ordinary. I felt relief about it.
The examination is around the corner!!!!
Oh, I felt like running away to Yamanashi.... Actually, this is first exam since I enter this university! I am very nervous. I don't know how it is and how difficult it is!
I should study harder!
And After that I can spend fantastic summer vacation! Summer vacation, sounds like dream, right?
I hardly have summer vacation for 3 years in my highschool days.
Because we had special course during summer and winter and spring vacation. It was duty of my class.(super science highschool class)
So I can have summer vacation for the first time in three years! I can't wait!
I will go everywhere I want and doing everything I want to and watching evertything I want to! But I have a desire to go abroad in 2 grade year, so I should have TOFLE exam during summer vacation. So, I will study wihtout fail. And I want to write this blog during summer vacation.
I want to put the photogragh on this blog. But I don't know how to do that. I will ask about that to Sue. She must teach me that way. I saw she put the photo on her blog.
And This Friday, I will participate in the club which is international! There are many students who came from abroad. Some of my friends blong to that, and they said they can have a lot of comunication with foreign people. Because I have wanted to make friends with people who came from foreign counry, I am looking forward the activity!
Oh~! It hit me that I have exam of American culture after that! The international club is hold during lunch time. I think I should study that lunch time! But! I heard from friend that next activity is last!
I should think which to choose. Maybe I should choose to study for the exam because I didn’t prepare enough for it! When I was a high school student, I always started to study just before the examination day. It was my weak point! I think I should stop it.
Now I am thinking about my visiting Shikoku, which is my mother’s hometown. When I was a child, my family surely had gone here once a year. As I said, I don’t have any vacation in high school. And Shikoku is far away from Yamanashi, so I can’t go there in short time. Shikoku has the sea! My hometown Yamanashi doesn’t have the sea. I want to play in the sea! And I have many cousins and relatives. My relatives almost always gather in Shikoku. So it is very busy.
And there is a festival called “Carnival of the sea” in the city. And there is a event called “Rodeo of Pigs”! Can you guess what it is like? Yes, it is Rodeo. But what you ride is not a horse, but a Pig! The pigs are very big and move very actively. If you can keep riding on it for the longest time, you can get money! Prize money is 30thousand yen! It is amazing! I have challenged to it once, but I couldn’t win a first prize. To ride on Pig was too difficult!

Last Saturday, I went to festival of my highschool. I watch students' chorus. In our highschool it is tradition that we make chorus with member of the block. I think I should explain about what BLOCK is. We have each team called BLOCK. There are 7 blocks (A to F), which have their own block color because my school has 7 classes in each grade. And the class which belong to a block is chosen randomely. For example, Block G consistsof 1-4 and 2-3 and 3-7. These are determined by lot. It is block reader who draws the lot. And not only combination, but also block color is determined by the lot.
There are 7 color, red, pink, purple, blue, yellow, orange, green. And during preparation term for the festival, students wear the their own block color's things. They have towels which is their own block color. And during preparation term, each classroom get to dye in their block color.On the very day of the school festival, girls wear small ribon or hair accessory, of course, which are all block color! And we make block color's ties by ourself from cloth, whch we bimd around our waist. Moreover, we have that towel around our neck. So, if you see a student in myhidgschool festival, you can identify what block he blong to. It's very fantastic. My block color was orange, so I was quite orange!('u')
There are one block reader in each block. They are 3 grade student. Generally, the block reader is a boy who is the coolest or funniest in the class. When they become block reader, they get to be known to everyone in our shool. And they seem to be famous idol! On the very day of the festival, almost all the girls want to take picture with block readers. They become like star!!!I was a part reader (alto), I felt very nervous and anxiety about it. In our school, we must sing a song with members of our block. That is a contest, so everyone in 3 grade want to win the first prize because it is last chance! I thought so, too. In the preparetion for festival, our teachers are seldome helps us. We must deside by ourselves what we willsing, when and where will we have practice and what practice we do today. All blocks have enthusiasm, so there are many practice afterschool, even in the morning. I think, in order to win first prize, the most important thing is to unite. if 1 or 2 grade students of our block didn't like this block, maybe they wouldn't feel they want to sing desperately as amember of the block. But unfortunatly, because the class I belonged to didn't allow us to blong to any club, we had very few junior students we knew... So I desided to make friends with them willingly.
Because I was a part leader of alto, I tried to make friends with junior students during rest time between a chorus practice. I could make it. And they were nice and cute! I had fun in talking with them a lot. Our song was very difficult song, so we had to practice very hard. But the member of our block tried hard. And at the festival, We won the first prize in chorus!! If you won the first prize in the chorus, only your block is allowed to sing on a stage at the last. That was the most move thing in my life! It was amazing! I will never forget that time.
And we have a play in that festival, I played a rule. I felt very nervous and embarrassing, But it was fun. We had a play about war which was made by in of my classmates, The story was romantic. It was also love story. There is a girl who met a ghost waiting for boyfriend with whom she made a promise that they meet after war, The girl was me! And The ghost had died by bomb before she met him. But at the last scene it turned the boyfriend she was waiting was the girl’s(my) grandfather,
They could met, so that ghost could go to the heaven.
We got second prize!!!!!
