It was the first day of my second (and last) semesterrrrr!!


The professor of my English class looks super scary. The way he speak was just like Snape in Harry Potter.
It is interesting! Actually it was scary, indeed. I got small because I was too terified in the his kind of offensive atmosphere. kkk.


Anyway it was good day. I raised my hands to say something, which means I did active to the class even in the very day of semester. I feel nice for miself now because of that!


This semester is my LAST semester in US. That is, I Have to try as hard as I can.
I am feeling like I have to try hard even beyond my capacity.
Though I had got used to live and study here, it does not mean I can do everything perfectly here yet.
I still have many thing I did not try and I cannot. So, I wanna try hard for the what I cannot do.


I do not live just comfortably and ith relaxing here in the rest of my life studyin abrod. yey!
The reason I am here is to know new thing I don't know, to learn the thing I cannot do, to get be able to see the things I could not see. For those purpose, I won't let me waist my time just chilling out in my room.


Try hard beyond the extend I think I can do.

I had Cinemon Ice cream with huge huge whip cream which is made with Cinemon.
I love Cinemon, but I love oyster better than that. I have no idea why I just start to talk about oyster now.
Anyway now my mind got full with feeling about oyster. aaaaahhhhhh

and Kristina got back to Buffalo:)) Super happy for that. She is super happy too for not having roommate in her room. She danced and sang for that in front of my room. hahahaha.

I will try to cook something tasty tomorrow:) maybe stuffed paprica.

Restart my blog

I was thinking about writing English blog. Because facebook is too short for writing what I am feeling. Just after I searching for how to blog, I found here. I totally fogot that I have blog account that I made in Leyda's writing. (2009) That is, I will restart blog here.

I came back from travel around USA in my winter vacation, which was really fun. But now, I'm feeling kind of guilty for the lazy lazy days. Of course No study even no English almost at all... I have to get the my scense back!At first, to get up from this comfortable bed and make my room neat, then start studying!!!

I wanna be a Kanban-Musume

Today I am going to write about these things;
1.How do you think your academic writing has changed?
2.What do you think you still need work on?
3.What do you think you can do well now?
4.What will you work on the hardest in your final essay?

ANSWERS
1, I think my way of quoting has changerd because I didn't know the quoting rule at all.
2. I need to get more vocabulary at first. I think in order to write persuasive essay, I need to express what I think in various way.
Next, I am not good at quoting from other's opinion so that I make my topic stronger. Always my quote is a bit artificial. I should learn how to use quotation naturally.
3. I think I got to consider what lacks of in the essay in order to make it persuasive and clear to understand. I add quotration or explanation, or erase some quotation or explanation.
4.In my final essay, I kept in mind that making detail explanation about most everything concerned with my thesis. I think that made my thesis more persuasive.


Then, I want to write about my part-time job plan! Actually I am thinking about starting new part-time job seriously. Yesterday I talked about that topic; what is the best job for us, all day with Rina. I am working in Hotel as a meal server (too expensive pay!). However I have some trouble in the work as a server. That is, maybe you can not see what it is like, I can't bring 3 dishes at the same time. It is very serious problem! That makes work so slowry. Anyway I am seaching for something good job.

I am going to raise what I hope in part-time job.
1, The working place is near my hometown is better.
2, I wish I worked in little shop or restraunt as a star stuff!
3, Pay is beyond 900 yen per an hour.

Maybe that's all. Especially, 2 is important! Cany you see what I mean?
I use this expression, Star stuff, at first though. You can say it in Japanese as Kanban-musume. The girl who works in the restaurant and is like a mascot of the store. Is is fabulous? All Kanban-musume have good relationship with customers and often chat with them. Because I like to talk with stranger or people senior to me, it must be the best job for me. However as I read back I wrote; have good relationship with customers and often chat with them, it seems that Kanban-musume is a job like Hostes, isn't it?

Actually the part-time job as a kanban-musume never exist! Kanban-musume is like title given by customer or owner. All I can do is working at tiny restaurant or bar as a stuff. Whether I can become a Kanban-musume is what others decide. Just because I am eager to be a Kanban-musume make me real Kanban-musume. I need to work so hard that all customer and owner admire me and that customer want to come the store again. The most important thing is Smile, I think. Smile will make customers want to visit the store many time.

I found the appropriate store, not big and good atmosphere, yeaterday, and the store open 9 February! Perhaps I can be a Kanban-musume in the store... I hope my dream came true!!

This afternoon I am going to my club activity. I dance dance dance! After that I visit the house of one of my friends. I have not seen her since December, so I am so looking forward to talking with her. Though it is no connection with what I said, I am so so so so so so hungry. I want to go somewhere and have lunch, it might be too late it call it "lunch."

I will go to New Zealand Saturday next week. It sounds not true for me; I will go abroad. Last week I was given a paper which showed imformation about my host family!
My host father is Glaham, 31 years old.
My host mother is Kate, 31 years old.
A_nd! They hane a little girl child, Ameria 2 years old!
I am really looking forward to meeting them! I will write about my stay in NZ after, maybe. Bye!!

My January and Disney Land

I went to Tokyo Disney Land with one of my friends, Hitomi in January 9th. She and me had been planning to go to Disney Land for a year, but our schedule did not meet so far at all. We planned to go some times, but unfortunately every time the plan ended up canceled. Because of this, we were eager to go to Disney Land! Finally we were going to go to Disney Land, so we were so, so excited!!

The very day we went to Toyo Disney Land it was snowy in my hometown!! At first I was thinking that we had better postpone the plan. However I really really wanted to go that day, I decided to go! However when I went to Hachioji by train, it was rainy and to kitijoji it was cloudy! Because I was not thinking such a thing at home, I wore too much so that I can stand cold weather. Nearer Disney Land I went, the more I got distinguished from the crowd because of my heavy clothes!

At Tokyo station I and Hitomi met together. The day we went to Disney was Friday, so there were fewer people than usual. As soon as we arrived at Maihama station, we got so excited! Usually it takes much time even to enter the Land, but that day we can enter the Land without waiting!! It’s amazing!

After the gate opened we ran to Splash Mountain with our all power. It was because we thought that was the best popular attraction and would take us long waiting time if we did not go at first. We really ran!! Hitomi belongs to lacrosse club, so she had more stamina than me. I got really tired in running and almost felt a bit sick. However it was so funny to run from the gate to Splash Mountain. Every people don’t run with all their forces! In Splash Mountain we could ride without waiting any minutes. We enjoyed it a lot and kept laughing all the time in Splash Mountain. It must have seemed to be funny. But it was really funny! I loved that. As soon as we got off Splash, we shouted “I want to ride one more time!” Because it seemed that we don’t have to wait for next ride, we decided to try once more. Again, we could ride without long waiting time.

We went to Pooh’s Honey Hunt next. The attraction is famous for that we must wait the longest time of all attractions in Disney Land. HOWEVE even the Honey Hunt is possible to ride with 15 minutes’ wait. It was fantastic! I love the part of tiger jumping with us the best.

We watched the parade, of course. I Love the parade of Disney Land. We sat dawn on the first line. It was a bit rainy, so I really worried about parade’s cancel. However it was performed. They were wearing transparent courts on their costume, like wearing rain court. That was so fantastic! We waved our hands to pretty characters and even kiss our hands to them. Guffy and Donald noticed our kissing and they were kind enough to kiss back to us! I was so glad. Every character and dancers were wonderful, but Especially, we have fallen love with Peterpan. He was so cool! We talked about peter many times even after the parade.

As a lunch we ate hamburger. I remember that where we had a lunch (outside), there were some sparrows, fat sparrow! It was too fat. It was cute, but at the same time it looks like haughty. They were not afraid of humans at all.

We ate melon soda taste popcorn! Can you guess how it tastes? I thought it must be not goof before I eat it. We bought it because Hitomi was eager to eat that taste popcorn. Actually it was very nice to my surprise. I want to try again when I go to Tokyo Disney Land next.
The weather was rainy all along the day. However we did not use any umbrella, we used Raincourt! Isn’t it fabulous? I know exactly it is the most useful that we wear rain court in rainy in Disney Land. Umbrella has trouble in opening and closing every minutes we enter and get out, and umbrella need space to open. In that point Rain court is so useful. we just have to wear it.

My New Year's Day

I cleaned my room on New Year’s Eve. Actually, it is traditional to clean up whole our house. Therefore, every New Year’s Eve has noise of vaccum cleaner from early morning. My room had been mess by the day, but I tried hard to have nice New Year with wonderful, cleaned room. However, my room has a lot of things piled up. It took me long long long time to clean up them! I even sweat though it was so cold day outside. Actually I don’t want o say this, I couldn’t end up it within one day… After I almost clean my room, I spent a comfortable day with my family. (My brother was in England then, though.) I went to grocery store in town and got a ingredients we would eat in dinner. We have a nice dinner watching TV program, “Ko-Haku Utagassen”. It is a song program in which most of famous singer in Japan appear and sing. In that program, we can listen to many “Enka.” (Japanese traditional song) In ordinal days, I don’t have many chances to hear so many Enka. But, to tell the truth, I am fond of hear that. It is one of the reasons I like to watch that TV program every year.

And midnight we went to the temple and shrine near my house. I went to temple in order to burn my Daruma. Daruma is a ornament whose form is round and which has face and mustache. It has two big eyes, one has black pupil and the other don’t have. After we bought Daruma in shrine or temple, we make a wish to Daruma, and live a life with Daruma put on somewhere in our house. One year after we make a wish to Daruma, if you could the dream come true, you paint a black pupil in the other eye of Daruma and burn it out with a big gratitude to Daruma.

I burned is the Daruma I was gifted by my mother’s friend and to which I made a wish that I could pass the entrance exam of Sophia. Yes, the wish has come true. I paint the black pupil and burned it, of course, with a great thanks to him, Daruma.

And after that we went to shrine and make a wish in front of God of the shrine.

My New Year’s Eve was very nice day.


However, MY NEW YEAR’S DAY was working day!
Actually, I intended to stay in my house at first, but New year’s day is also high-pay day!! Because I was lack of money, I decided to work in the day. As I said before I work in Hotel New Otani, uh actually I don’t remember exactly I wrote about it or not. The pay I could get in New Year’s day was 1600 yen per an hour! How amazing it was! Everyone I told it was very surprised.

I visited my relative’s house in Tochigi in 2nd January. My mother had gone to Korea with her sisters. They are like good friends and love to travel all together. In the house, I could meet my grandmother from Shikoku. Because I don’t have such a chance in a year, I was so glad to meet her beginning of a year. I went many places in Tochigi. At first we went to big shopping mole and got clothes with reasonable price. After that we went to hot spring. There was “Ganban-Yoku,” which is famous and popular in Japan. ‘Ganan-Yoku’ is similar to sauna bath. However in “Ganban-Yoku” we lay down on the floor made from rock, and we must not be bared! The wear we should put on is given from counter at first. I experienced that for the first time. In that room, we have so sweat, and heard that we could get out bad things inside our body. It was a bit but so interesting. I want to go that in Tokyo, too.

After we came to house after we went to hot spring, we went to eat sushi with my grandmother. To my surprise, only 2 minutes’ walk takes us to Sushi restaurant. How convenient it is! I wish there were sushi restaurant on such a useful place from my house.

I am feeling like eating sushi now….

My Chrustmas and Riding on Horse!!!!

My Christmas was pretty defferent from one I had experienced.


I came back home from the Ito trip in Christmas Eve. I had enjoyed a lot, but at the same time I was so tired. I was busy preparing for the performance even before I went to Ito, and I was also busy in playing without almost all sleep after arriving at Ito. In order to let my body rest enough, I sleep for a long time after I got to my House though it was only about 13 o’clock. After waking up, I spend a slow life. Because it was Christmas Eve that day, we had a Christmas cake. Christmas cake is so lovely, isn’t it? I ate cake a lot after dinner.

Then my tragedy happened. I got to feel so bad after a while, so bad.
Yes, I caught a cold in Christmas Eve. How poor I was! That day I decided to go to bed early. I thought I would get better the following day because my cold would often get better just after enough sleep. However, my feeling remained so bad even the beautiful morning in Christmas. In addition I did not feel like eating anything. In exact meaning, it was my stomach that did not feel like eating anything. I wanted delicious cake and dinner and so on.

I had a disguising party in Christmas day with girls of my club.
Sure, I couldn’t go there. I was looking forward to it so much, though.

But I think it is so funny that I didn’t eat anything in Christmas. In Christmas, it is ordinal to eat delicious meal they want to eat a lot! But I did not eat ANYTHING!
Oh, I think it is the special Christmas day for me in any sense.

Eventually I kept on sleeping in my bed all day in Christmas. The following day I went to see doctor and got many medicines for my recovery. Because I had a plan to go riding horse on 27th, I try hard to recover earlier. I was so looking forward to riding horse really!! It was one of my dreams that I ride a horse unconnected to anyone other than me. I have ridden on horse only once when I was little child. But, at that time a men grab the lead which connected to horse all the time. I hated it! I wanted to ride by myself. (it would be impossible for such a little child.)

On 27th, I could go riding horse! Though my stomach struggled yet, I didn’t mind such a thing. “My dream will come true!!!” I was so excited. The place we ride a horse was in Saitama prefecture. It was full of nature and there was not differences from Yamanashi, my hometown.

There were so many horses! They were very big and cool. And finally I rode on a horse for the first time. His was big! Rather, all horses were bigger than I was expected. I didn’t feel any fear in riding on horse. It was enjoyable though it isn’t easy to ride. I rode on horse twice at 1st day. Oh, I forgot to say about that. I stayed there for two days! In the first place, the reason I could go to riding on horse was that m friend’s father runs a stable (it is for equestrianism). The friend of mine is pretty good at riding. So cool it was! In the ground of the stable is there a house in which stuff or customer can stay. I stayed the house. At night, I helped cleaning barns. It was a bit hard but I had fun.
In the stable we wore riding costume which is easy to move and no problem to get dirty. I was told by my friend’s mother that I suited well with the style and it seemed that I have been the stable for a long. I was glad.

At night, we drove to supermarket by my friend’s driving, and bought a source for chu-ka don. We cooked the dinner by ourselves. Actually I didn’t do anything special. It was hot and delicious. After the dinner we went asleep so early.

On the next day I also rode twice!

The party which makes you forget a whole year!

I am going to talk about Bounenkai, the party held in the last of a year. Bounenkai is not popular to us when we were high school students. The kind of party is often held in communities of adults. Last year I participated in the Bounennkai of Odorizamurai. It was so fun, too fun! Because the members of my club are always serious about performing something in front of audience, even that is only their fellow. Because of this, all performances by members are high-quality. The bounen party was held in Ito, Shizuoka. There is Yosakoi festival in Ito the last part of a year, and our team participates in it every year. The one point for which the Ito Yosakoi festival is deferent from other festivals for us is that we have a bounen party in the hotel we would stay after the festival. I had not experienced it, but senior member had told me that the party is so funny every year. I was looking forward for it for a long time.

One day before Ito Yosakoi festival, I got a mail from the member who takes charge of planning all events in our club life. She asked me to work as one of leaders for Bounen party. It seemed to be so fun! However, at first I hesitated over it because I had a lot of homework to do and I was busy. At last I decided to do with three fellows. We were delegates in 1st grade members. The team for performance was separated by grade and sex. There are 4 teams, the team of 2nd grade girls member, 1st grade girls member, the team of 1st grade boys member, the team of 2nd grade boys member. We have even practice in group many times before the day of Bounen party.

In Bounen party, we perform the dance of famous idles’ songs wearing school uniforms we actually wore in high school days. Our performance was very nice. We were admired by many senior members after that. To lead the group was a bit hard, however I could experienced good time.

In the party, the best I got to like was the performance of boys (mixture of 1 and 2 and 3 grade members). They didn’t dance or sing at all. Can you guess what did they do?
It was disguising as women that they did! It was so funny and interesting. Some boy didn’t change very much from what he was and others changed dramatically.
Especially one of 2nd grade members was so beautiful. I wonder he was more beautiful than I (boy in fact)! The one of 3rd grade member was so pretty!
I wish I had taken pictures of them, but I didn’t have a camera then. I regret that.

After the Bounen party we stayed one more day in Ito only with 1st grade members. We went to the shop in which many fish products and local products were sold. Though that place was so nice (we can see the great sea from outside of the shop), almost all members were too tired to move and see the sea. Therefore only the un-tired member went to see the beautiful view. I was one of the most vigorous then! I enjoyed there too enough.


After that we went to the hotel we would stay. The Japanese hotel was smallish and had something cute. Because we all did not sleep at all, we laid as soon as soon as arriving our room.

At night, the dinner of the hotel was excellent. It was so delicious. We made long chat after the dinner and went to spa. Hot water made our tired body (because of hard schedule) so relax. I love spa. After the spa, we talk on the futon and went to buy sweets to a convenient store. On the way we returned the hotel, everyone said “The stars are so bright and beautiful.” Sadly I didn’t wear my glasses at that time. Therefore I couldn’t watch the beautiful stars in clear.

At night, we kept on talking by midnight. It was fun enough to decide to stay up late, but we couldn’t because we lack of sleeping time drastic even the point of the previous day.

I really enjoyed that trip! I want to go again.
